Hey there!

I’m Kristen. A theatre, music & nature nerd + photographer with a deep love for capturing the magic that happens both on & off stage.

Born and raised in Rhode Island,
but sadly no Rhode Island accent. I’m a single mama to a talented, brilliant, hilarious kiddo. And mama to our old lady puppy, & two senior cats. My home decor gives off Weasley vibes, which sums me up pretty well.

I specialize in documenting authentic moments through a photojournalistic approach. I’m a great observer overall. Would have made a great Detective in another life.

I’ve been hooked on photography since I was 13. All starting with disposable cameras & a heavy, (now ancient) video camera. My best friend and I made hilarious stop motion barbie movies…pre Robot Chicken era too.

What began as a hobby quickly turned into a lifelong passion/addiction.

Today, my main photography work is with Rhode to Broadway. An incredible organization, dedicated to training, educating & inspiring young performers. Through Master Classes, student productions, & close collaboration with Broadway professionals; we equip kids & teens with the tools they need to grow - not just as artists, but as confident, creative individuals.

As their lead photographer, I take a documentary-style approach to capturing the full experience. From rehearsals, and behind-the-scenes/backstage moments to the energy & excitement of tech rehearsals and master classes. I love telling the story of these young artists as they learn, express themselves, and shine on stage. I also create & run their website & social media.

Outside the theatre, I’m extremely passionate about nature photography. I sell my prints too. You can find them here.

I’m especially drawn to birds, insects, and those weirdly magical moments that most people miss. Like early mornings in the rain, golden light filtering through fog, or a spider web catching the sun just right. Or lately, capturing photos of the owls out back. Being outdoors with my camera is one of my happiest places. It’s peaceful, raw and therapeutic.

I take my work seriously, but not myself. I aim to create a fun, relaxed environment where people can be themselves and feel comfortable in front of the lens.

I’m always learning and pushing myself creatively, because I believe growth is the key to great art.

And I’m a big believer in printing your memories because digital is temporary, but a photo you can hold onto lasts a lifetime.

Thanks for stopping by!

I can’t wait to help tell your story through photos that truly feel like you.
