She Rides Rocks the Stage in a Memorial Tribute to Bill King
On August 19, 2023, I had the privilege of photographing an unforgettable night at The Met in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The event was a heartfelt memorial show honoring Bill King, a beloved figure in the local music scene.
The night featured incredible performances by She Rides, a talented band from Providence, as well as The Hollow Sound and Helix. Each act brought its own unique energy to the stage, creating a powerful and moving atmosphere that truly celebrated Bill King’s legacy.
She Rides, with their dynamic sound and captivating stage presence always put on a fun show. Watching them perform live, it was clear how much their hometown support means to them. Their set was a blend of emotion and intensity, perfectly fitting the spirit of the evening.
The Hollow Sound and Helix also delivered performances full of raw energy and heartfelt tribute, making the whole night feel like more than just a concert. It was a genuine community gathering. The crowd was engaged, and the respect and admiration for Bill King were palpable throughout the venue.
Capturing these moments was a special experience, from the focused intensity of the musicians to the crowd’s warm connection. Through my lens, I aimed to showcase not only the vibrant live music but also the deeper sense of togetherness and remembrance that made this event so meaningful.
